Making Back To School Fun

From the first day of summer, both parents and kids start counting. Parents, until the expensive and trying slog that is the break is over. Kids, until the anxious days of a new school year are upon them. That doesn’t mean back to school is something that should drive us apart. This is a time for families to come together, too — for parents to impart a bit of their excitement, and kids to see that learning and socializing and getting back to a routine can be fun.

So how can parents bring everyone together? Through movies and books, podcasts and TV. Put them in front of an entertaining show with the right message and they may start to see it our way.

From great books to navigating the best of Bluey! to thinking about good internet safety practices, here’s Fatherly’s guide to getting the best out of the back-to-school moment, for both your kids and yourself.
