You Have to Watch This Heartwarming Three-Way Spider-Man Zoom Call

Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to be the biggest blockbuster of the pandemic era and the thing that fans love most about the film is getting to see all three cinematic Spider-Men share the screen together. And you can see the trio together again, as Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire reunited for a Zoom interview with Pete Hammond where they discussed the experience of working together and officially ushering the multiverse into the MCU.

There were tons of great moments during the 30 minute interview, starting with Maguire discussing how he was approached by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and No Way Home producer Amy Pascal to be involved in the film. Maguire had not played Spider-Man in almost 15 years but he said he was “intrigued immediately” by the duo’s “love and celebration of these movies” and knew he wanted to be involved.

Garfield agreed that he was impressed by the “pure” intention to bring him and Tobey into the MCU and said that he “was just waiting to see if Tobey was going to do it.” Once his predecessor agreed, he was onboard. But there was still the question of what the two former Spider-Men would actually do in the film and Garfield said he was glad that he and Maguire’s presence in No Way Home was integral to the story and to the MCU Parker’s development as a character instead of a forced cheesy cameo.

“I love the destiny feeling of the multiverse expanding in this film,” Garfield said. “That without Tobey’s Peter and Andrew’s Peter being present for Tom’s Peter at this very moment, he may not become the Peter Parker that he’s supposed to become.”

As for Holland, he admitted that it was “daunting” when he found out he was going to work with the two guys who played Spider-Man before him. But once they showed up on set, “I realized I had nothing to worry about.”

“From day one, it was a roller coaster I didn’t want to get off…” Holland shared. “It was so collaborative and so playful.”

All of that is just in the first 10 minutes and they end up discussing so much more over the rest of the discussion, including keeping Maguire and Garfield’s involvement a secret, honoring the history of the beloved character, and the overwhelming response from fans. The interview is fantastic to watch, as the chemistry and admiration shared between these three is so apparent. By the end, you’ll probably want to head to the movies and watch No Way Home for the fifth time.
