For countless parents haunted by the voice of Peppa Pig, and the insistence that it’s always time to jump-up and down in muddy puddles, here’s some news. If you watch the mega-popular Netflix horror series The Haunting Of Bly Manor after the kids go to bed, you will still not be able to escape the voice of Peppa Pig. That’s right, the resident “creepy kid” in Bly Manor is played by super-talented child actress Amelie Bea Smith, AKA the incumbent voice of Peppa Pig.

Smith actually took over for a different Peppa actress early in 2020; Harley Bird, who, in the world of Peppa Pig voice actors is like Sean Connery to Amelie Bea Smith’s Daniel Craig. In other words, both are excellent Peppas, and both are good at terrorizing Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig with equal zeal.

In other words, if you’re extra-frightened by the kid on Bly Manor, and you’re a parent, it probably has something to do with your deep-seated fear of Peppa Pig. I mean, if you’re anything like me, your child is the focus of your life, and that means, statistically, some of your child’s demands are channeled through the voice of Peppa Pig. I mean, we all read those articles that said American kids sometimes start speaking in English accents because of Peppa, right? Yeah, anecdotally, I can confirm that is 100 percent real.

You can stream The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix here.

You can watch Peppa Pig on Nick Jr., but the easiest way to watch it is probably through the streaming service Noggin.
