Meghan Trainor Is a Singing Rainbow on 'Blue's Clues & You!'

by Ian Spelling

Meghan Trainor’s lips are moving… again. The Grammy Award-winning star lends her talent to “Blue’s Rainy Day Rainbow,” a new episode of Blue’s Clues & You! debuting March 12. In it, Josh (Josh Dela Cruz) and Blue play Blue’s Clues to decide what Blue wants to do on a wet, yucky day. Viewers help Josh get dressed in his rainy-day clothes and skidoo to meet a real Rainbow (voiced by Trainor), who leads them in a catchy original song, “Here Comes a Rainbow” — written and composed by series composer PT Walkley — to learn how rainbows form.

Trainor is no stranger to animated family programming, as she counts among her credits the films Smurfs: The Lost Village and Playmobil: The Movie, as well as an episode of SpongeBob SquarePants. Among the children sure to listen one day to Trainor in Blue’s Clues & You! and her other animated outings is Riley Sabara, her son with Spy Kids trilogy co-star Daryl Sabara. The couple, who got married in 2018, welcomed Riley into the world on February 8, 2021.Now in its second season, Blue’s Clues & You! airs weekdays at 11 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.
