The whole family is back for new adventures.
The Croods are coming back for another adventure in the upcoming sequel, The Croods: A New Age, seven years after we first met the eccentric prehistoric family. In an exclusive clip, we get a peek at a new world the family discovers and the danger and disaster they have to avoid this time.
In the clip, the Croods, who are on the move searching for a new place to live, find themselves up against a giant wall which they believe to be “the end of the world.” After everything they’ve already been through and seen, Gran looks up in complete wonderment at the wall that goes up higher than the eye can see and declares that she has officially “seen it all.”
Just as Gran resolves herself to being done with adventuring now, Grug busts through the wall from the other side shouting, “it’s just the beginning,” opening a whole new world that the prehistoric family has never seen before. “Welcome to our tomorrow,” Grug proclaims as the family walks into an idyllic brightly-colored walled-in paradise.
According to Universal Pictures, while the family thinks this new home will meet all their needs and they’ll live out their days happy here, that’s not the case. It turns out this new land has already been discovered by another family, the Bettermans, a more modern family, who are “a couple of steps above the Croods on the evolutionary ladder.”
It doesn’t take long before the two families find out about each other. The tensions escalate between the prehistoric Croods family and the Bettermans, who fully believe they think they’re better than everyone else.
Viewers will be introduced to new personalities and fall back in love with the bumbling but lovable Croods crew in The Croods: A New Age.
