Families are turning to movies to provide entertainment while we’re in self-isolation. Sonic the Hedgehog was able to release to theaters just before they were shut down due to the coronavirus and companies had to get more creative to bring their films to the public. Sonic the Hedgehog was a hit and set a record while it was in theaters, becoming the highest-grossing video-game-based movie ever in unadjusted domestic grosses. Now, the movie is getting set to release on digital platforms, months before its Blu-ray release date.

And to get you pumped for Sonic here’s an exclusive deleted scene.

In the deleted scene, we see Longclaw burst out of the sky and tumble down. When Longclaw comes to a halt, the wings unfold, and baby Sonic is revealed to be safe in its arms and away from the danger. The deleted scene isn’t a long one, and it’s understandable why it was cut for time, but watching it gives a little more context into how they arrived and the relationship between Sonic and Longclaw.

Sonic the Hedgehog is debuting early for purchase on digital March 31 and will be available on Blu-ray, 4k Ultra HD, and for rental starting May 19, 2020. You can pre-order it on digital right here.
