In the wee hours of February 26, James Corden dropped a video interview with Prince Harry for his show, The Late Late Show with James Corden.

The 17-minute interview is hilarious, fun, wide-ranging, and features Prince Harry like not a lot of people have seen him before: in a casual polo and jeans, riding on the top of a sightseeing bus in Los Angeles, cursing when he spills tea, and at one point, absolutely crushing James Corden in a Spartan race, showing off how his military training has definitely not left him behind.

The interview is absolutely worth watching, not least of which because it’s Prince Harry (huzzah!) but also because it’s just good fun and it’s great to see Harry talk freely about his son, Archie, his wife, Meghan, their decision to step back as senior working royals, face-timing the Queen and Prince, and more.

“It was a difficult environment. We all know what the British press can be like. It was destroying my mental health,” Harry told Corden about their decision to step back from being a working royal. “I did what any husband and father would do.”

He also added that he’ll never see himself as stepping “down” from the family — and that no matter what happens across the pond, he’ll always be there for his family. He also noted that he’s more comfortable with shows like The Crown, because they are clearly fictional, over tabloid stories about the royal family that cloak themselves in truth to sell magazines.

In the interview, Corden facetimed Meghan when trying to convince Prince Harry to buy the house that was in the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (yeah, really.) Meghan revealed her secret nickname for Harry — she calls him Haz! (Apparently, BTW, he knew Meghan was “the one” by the second date.)

Harry also revealed that Archie, now nearly two-years-old, is “hysterical,” and that his first word ever was actually “crocodile,” which is seriously impressive. Archie, it sounds like, gets nightly tea before bedtime (so British) and Harry reveals the couple watches Jeopardy! like, a lot, which is hilarious and shows that Prince Harry is definitely acclimating to American life.

He also said that he facetimes the Queen and Prince Philip no small amount — and that the Queen sent Archie a waffle maker for his birthday, which is adorable.

But perhaps the best part of the interview is the final Spartan race that James Corden makes Prince Harry do. Quite frankly, Prince Harry is super fit, and he makes the race look like easy work while Corden definitely struggles at points. Regardless, it’s a super fun interview, and you should watch it.
