There is so much to look forward to when we’re pregnant, from baby names to developmental milestones. It’s part of the adventure of growing a baby — from the weekly markers of pregnancy progress to monitoring the growth of the fetus — and they’re fun stats to share with others because there’s such a wide range of numbers.

Because of that, a trend has gone viral on TikTok of moms vying for the coveted top spot of who gave birth to the baby with the biggest birth weight. The trend, for our money, is now over, because one woman won by a mile (probably, painfully, for her.)

TikTok user tawnee117 asked her followers, “I wanna see who had the biggest baby. Whoever sees this video, tell me the weight of your biggest baby.” Parents chimed in with their answers, hoping to find a clear winner for “the biggest baby.”

A lot of people responded to Tawnee’s video in the comment section, and the comments are all hilarious. But there was one person who answered the trend question with a video of her own. And, if she’s telling the truth, she’s the clear winner of the biggest baby birth weight trend.

TikTok user shans1588 posted a video response to the question and it garnered 36 million views. “You wanna play ‘the biggest’ baby? I got you,” she said. “At 38 weeks and one day, I had my second son via C section by two doctors. Because he came in at a whopping 14 lbs .6 oz.”

This mama then provided proof, a photo of her baby boy in the delivery room. “Yes, I gave birth to a toddler,” she joked. She continued, sharing that her baby had to spend 11 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

“Clearly he was the biggest baby in there,” she adds. She said there weren’t any clothes or diapers that fit her baby, so the nurses had to “go up to pediatrics to get size 3 diapers, and he came home in clothing 6 to 9 months,” she said.

Since this video went viral, the mama shared a follow-up story. Her baby, now five years old, has grown into a “healthy, stubborn, and strong” guy who loves football, baseball, and monster trucks.

Regardless, the real moral of the story is that human bodies are amazing.
