Is This Family Being Haunted by Dobby’s Ghost?

Don’t let the kids near this one, or else they may never sleep again. Recent security footage from a creeped-out homeowner shows a ghostly creature – and comparisons to Harry Potter‘s Dobby character are running rampant.

Last week, Facebook user Vivian Gomez posted a 10-second clip from her driveway’s security camera. In the video, a small, alien-like being appears walking next to the car.

“I woke up Sunday morning and saw this on my camera and am trying to figure out…what the heck,” Gomez captioned the video. “First I saw the shadow walking from my front door when I saw this thing….has anyone else seen this on their cameras? The other two cameras didn’t pick it up for some reason.”

Though there are many potential explanations for the footage (like that it might just be a child), it’s definitely unsettling. The video has over 7 million views so far and commenters are going wild with speculation. Many are comparing the creature with Dobby the House Elf from Harry Potter, who has a similar silhouette. Others see the video as proof that alien life exists on Earth – specifically, in Vivian’s driveway.

There are also voices of reason and logic among the crowd. “It is probably some kid wearing flip flops with shorts on his head,” one user commented.

But, the majority of people are just completely freaked out. There’s been no word yet on what exactly is going on in Gomez’s footage – so until then, maybe don’t watch this one before bed.
