It’s never too late to take up golf: Just ask football star Sterling Shepard. While Shep can trace his golf roots back to his childhood growing up in Oklahoma City, he only truly started to take the game seriously during the past few years, and he quickly learned how much upkeep the sport can take.
“Golf’s a game you have to play continually in order to keep your skills sharp,” Shepard tells Fatherly. “[When I started playing again] three years ago, I could not hit the ball straight,” Shepard says. “So I started taking lessons during the off season.”
