Highlights for You

Boardwalk Empire

Relive Steve Buscemi’s incredible TV performance as Enoch “Nucky” Thompson, who ruled Atlantic City during prohibition America and rose to political power. If you’re new to the series, you can watch all five seasons on Amazon starting May 21. The show was praised for Buscemi’s work and garnered a ton of Emmy nominations. Watch it and see how an Atlantic City resident reaching a high office in American politics was terrifying nearly 100 years ago too.

Vikings, season 4B

The saga of Norse hero Ragnar Lothbrok continues in the second part of season four. If you’re not all caught up on season four—we’ll keep it spoiler free—the two-part, 20 episode season has some shocking moments setting up an exciting fifth year. With Game of Thrones debuting in mid-summer with a smaller stack of episodes, Vikings may be the series to fill your sword-swinging TV appetite until July. Vikings season 4B hits Amazon Prime on May 2.

Highlights for Kids

Dino Dana

This Amazon Original kids series is a follow-up to the live-action Amazon mini-movie, Dino Dan. Dana follows the paleontologist in training and her sister Emily as they embark on adventures with dinosaurs in a modern setting. The series starts on May 26 and it combines Sharknado style CGI animation dinos (but still kid-friendly) with actors inviting preschoolers to learn about the prehistoric animals. It’s the perfect series for your dino-obsessed kid if they’ve graduated from Dinosaur Train.

Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood: The Tiger Family Trip

The Tiger family is going on a road trip. It’s Daniel’s first ever vacation and the hour-long special looks to teach preschoolers family trips to an unknown location can be scary as well as exciting. Daniel will show toddlers there are new, fun sites and sounds to experience on a vacation. The special debuts on Amazon on May 9 and it will also air on PBS and the PBS Kids app all week on the same day.
