Last night, late-night host and super dad Jimmy Kimmel celebrated his 50th birthday in style. He sat on a gloriously excessive throne made of party supplies. He had David Letterman, Jennifer Lawrence, and several others read mean tweets about the birthday boy, and he even got a special surprise from his good buddy Ben Affleck.

The current caped crusader shared that he teamed up with Star Wars director J.J. Abrams to create a trailer for the movie The Terrific Ten. Never heard of The Terrific Ten? That’s because it’s a comic Kimmel created when he was ten-years-old and the trailer is every bit as hilarious, stupid, and awesome as you would hope (and expect) it to be.

As the name suggests, The Terrific Ten is the story of ten superheroes, led by Muscle Man, who must save the world from the evil Dr. Bolt. Abrams and Affleck really pulled out all the stops for the trailer, as the titular Ten were played by some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Jennifer Anniston as Laser Lass, Zach Galifianakis as Super Duck, Jon Hamm as Lucky Lad, Shaq as Spire the God of Weapons, Ty Burrell as Mirgiv the Magician, and Will Arnett as Meinstrom the God of Weather.

But the trailer really reaches new levels of great when Kimmel’s longtime frenemy Matt Damon shows up as the diabolical Dr. Bolt, who threatens to blow up the entire world with the push of a button. Just when the stakes are at an all-time high, everyone begins mocking each other for their lame superpowers and poorly-thought-out characterization. Eventually, Dr. Bolt helps them see they all suck, himself included, because they were created by a “weird kid who grew up to be a weird, fat man.”

The entire trailer is incredibly silly in the best possible way. Hopefully, it won’t be the last time we see The Terrific Ten save the world from Dr. Bolt’s nefarious scheming.
