NFL Players and Teams Offer Support for Todd Heap After Tragic Death of Daughter
Over the weekend former Baltimore Ravens tight end Todd Heap accidentally ran over and killed his three-year-old daughter with his truck. This heartbreaking incident occurred on Friday at Heap’s home in Phoenix as he was moving his truck in his driveway. Heap immediately called 911, but the child was declared dead soon after arriving at the hospital.Police are continuing to investigate the incident, but at this time they have reported they have no reason to believe it was anything other than an accident and that there were no signs that Heap was impaired in any way.
This is an immense tragedy for Heap and his family, and as of now, there have been no comments from anyone involved. However, several coaches, players, and teams offered up their thoughts and prayers for Heap and his family during this difficult time.
The Baltimore Ravens, Heap’s team for most of his 11-year career, offered their condolences. The Arizona Cardinals, with whom Heap played for his final two years, did as well.
