The Best Shows and Movies on Amazon for You and Your Kids in March

Each month Amazon Prime expands their video library with new TV shows and movies. Here is everything from original series, to classic TV shows, to family flicks you and the kids should be watching this month.

March showers bring fresh movies and shows from Amazon. That’s not how the old saying goes, but that old saying didn’t have high-speed internet. This month, must-streams include new seasons and series from Amazon Originals like Annedroids and a new season from Cartoon Network’s hilarious series, We Bare Bears. Also, this month there’s a slew of new movies and shows for you too!

For Kids

The highly acclaimed Amazon Original series kicks off its fourth season and your kids can expect to see Anne, Nick, and Shania solve their various problems through the power of science (and of course some robot shenanigans). Season 4 kicks off on March 3,

Common Sense Media: Common Sense Media is the leading nonprofit source helping parents make movie and TV choices for their children. In their review, CSM praises the series for its use of STEM, “and it incorporates many scientific concepts in each story. … your kids will come away from any given episode with a better understanding of concepts such as the scientific process and what a defense mechanism is…” So it’s good for the children!

We Bare Bears (season 3)

This series may be new to you, but for three seasons, Bears has been quietly making children and adults crack up. The series is like Curb Your Enthusiasm but catered to kids. A grizzly, panda and a polar bear are brothers and the cartoon follows their daily life adventures from visiting a theme park to crashing a kids party to get some free ice cream. It’s quite possibly the funniest children’s show on TV that’s also funny for you.

Common Sense Media: No surprise here, they love the series, calling it, “a funny and heartwarming story about three brothers of the bear persuasion who lean on each other as they try to fit in among the human population.”

For You

Patriot’s Day

Marky Mark stars in this drama of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the terrorist manhunt. Wahlberg plays a fictional police officer, Sgt. Tommy Saunders, but the Boston accent is 100 percent fact. The film may have been a box office disappointment, but the critics gave the film mostly positive reviews. Plus, outside of this and Deepwater Horizon, Wahlberg has been phoning it in lately, so it’s good to see him firing on all cylinders.

Gimme Danger

Iggy Pop is featured in this documentary about one of the greatest rock and roll bands of all time, The Stooges. The band was known for their outlandish live performance and they are regarded for being one of the first big punk bands to make you think rock and roll could be scary and awesome at the same time.
