Whether it’s calling you by your full name or simply giving you a disapproving look, it seems that no matter how old you get, your parents will always have the power to put you in your place. And that’s what one Twitter user took advantage of when she got revenge on a troll by messaging his mom about his rude comments.
“This guy sent me hate on Facebook so I told his mom on him,” Kallie Plagge tweeted on May 7. Adding that “she was really nice about it,” Kellie also posted screenshots of her conversation with both the troll, named Ryan, and his mother.
The woman decided to reach out to Ryan’s mother after she received a nasty message from him on Facebook. Apparently, he disagreed with a review of a video game that Kellie had written online and decided to respond with an extremely vile and sexist attack.
Obviously offended by the message, Kellie found Ryan’s mom on Facebook and reached out, saying, “Hello! You don’t know who I am, but your son does. I thought you might want to know the kinds of messages he sends to women he doesn’t agree with.”
And his mom had a much-nicer response than her 37-year-old son, apologizing for his crass behavior and reassuring Kellie, “I am so going after him! He [definitely] has problems. I will straighten him out!!”
The hilarious tweet has already received over 206,000 likes and 22,000 retweets. “THIRTY-SEVEN YEARS OLD,” one user commented. “That’s gonna be an interesting Mother’s Day interaction this weekend. Get him, mom.”
