Who says farm animals can’t enjoy a sultry saxophone jam? In what is potentially the most “dad” move ever, an Oregon man decided to take his sax skills to a brand new audience: cows. In a now-viral Twitter video, user Erin Hermann shared a clip of her father serenading a field of cows with his renditions of Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely?” and The Champs’ “Tequila”.
“My parents are such goofs they drove out to the backroads so my dad could play the cows the songs he’s been learning on the saxophone,” Hermann captioned part one of the video. She told Mashable that her dad learned his sweet skills by watching YouTube videos, and the family dog wasn’t digging the sound. “Our dog, Piper, hates the noise so much, she even chewed up all his reeds once,” she told the publication. “My dad was running by the field on June 25 and thought that maybe the cows would appreciate his music more than Piper would. He was definitely right!”
Hermann also mentioned that cows are her dad’s favorite animal, so it makes sense that he’d want to share his musical interests with them. They’re obviously into it, as evidenced by the second clip in which they’ve gathered around intently. “He’s just such a good hearted guy and likes to be goofy…he loves that he’s making people so happy!” the proud daughter continued.
People are certainly loving the videos; the clips have amassed over 10 million combined views and an outpouring of responses from fellow music/cow lovers.
