Website Will Pay $2,500 To Watch X-Mas Movies — But Deadline To Apply Is Tomorrow

You’ll get paid for your holiday spirit.

Warner Bros

Do you love holiday movies? Is your favorite activity binge-watching yuletide flicks like Elf, Home Alone, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas? Do you want to also somehow get paid to watch these movies? Like actual, real money to chill on the couch? Well, the ambiguously-titled job of “Chief Holiday Cheermeister” might be the holiday job for you.

The website is looking for someone with a deep, abiding, love of all things holiday to help determine the best holiday movie of all time. How? By watching 25 holiday movies in 25 days. Oh, and you’ll get paid $2,500 to do it, plus you’ll earn a year’s worth of free subscriptions to streaming services including Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hallmark Movies Now. It could be a pretty convenient way to earn some extra cash while watching the holiday and New Year’s movies of your choosing or to follow the site’s recommendations if you need a little inspiration (or help to dwindle the list down).

Now, you might be asking, how do you get selected to be the so-called “Cheermeister”? Well, just has to determine that you’re extremely into the holiday spirit.

Applicants have to fill out a short application and write 200 words on why they’re “the right person for the Holiday Movie Dream Job.” So, now’s your time to prove that you’re really a super-fan. Other than that, to get the job you’d just need to make sure that you have a device to stream the movies on and can fill out a post-movie survey each time, and that you’ll actually commit to watching a movie per day.

But, if you think this role was handcrafted for you by the elves in Santa’s workshop, then apply soon, because the deadline is Friday, December 4. Get ready to binge on some holiday cheer, and maybe some spiked eggnog.
