On June 21, Perrigo Compay issued a voluntary recall of an infant formula sold exclusively at Walmart. In the company’s official news release, Perrigo says the recall is due to the “potential presence of metal foreign matter” in the formula. Though no adverse incidents have yet to be reported, a consumer report caused the company to exercise extreme caution. The recall was also conducted in consultation with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
