Video of Two Toddlers Hugging Might Be the Most Wholesome Thing on the Internet

A video of two boys running to each other and hugging will give you hope for the future.

Facebook/Michael D. Cisneros

The internet has a limited attention span, so the videos that go viral tend to be short and sweet. A father and son dancing. A mom saving a toddler. A dude playing saxophone for some cows. It’s this kind of content that keeps us all from going collectively insane.

By those criteria, the latest video charming the internet gets an A+, 10/10, 100 percent perfect score, particularly in the “sweet” category. It shows two toddlers spotting each other on a New York City sidewalk and running towards each other with arms outstretched for a big hug. That’s it. That’s the video.

It was posted by Michael Cisneros, who wrote “Finnegan + Maxwell= BESTIES!!!” in the post, along with plenty of gushing emoji that, judging by the more than 161,000 views its garnered on Facebook (along with countless others who’ve seen the video posted on other sites) express a feeling shared by many.

I have no idea how to make things go viral, for those that do……please share. This is just so beautiful. Finnegan + Maxwell= BESTIES!!! If we could all be like this. 🥰😍🥰😍🥰😍 @2_puggles_anda_baby O, The Oprah Magazine Oprah Winfrey The Today's Show best topic of the day NBC New York TheEllenShow

Cisneros told ABC News that the boys are “inseperable,” and that “when they are away from each other, they are always asking about one another.”

“They go to music class together,” he continued, “and they love to dance—both are excellent dancers.”

Finnegan is 27 months old and Maxwell is 26 months old. Both live in Washington Heights, and they’ve been best friends for at least a year. Here’s hoping their bond survives viral fame and makes it all the way to pre-K.
