This Stark Family Reunion Photo Will Thrill ‘Game of Thrones’ Fans

If only it could happen on the show.

HBO

Some Game of Thrones siblings finally got to hug it out. The last time Arya saw her older brother and the first “King of the North” was at the heartbreaking Red Wedding. Arya watched her mother, Robb, his wife and their unborn child get brutally murdered by the Freys and Boltons in the ultimate act of betrayal. Arya was pulled away from the grisly scene by the Hound, and her life was forever changed.

That episode aired in 2013, which is more than five years ago! A lot has changed both on the show and in real life. Arya has become one of Westeros’s most deadly assassins and is working her way through her kill list. She reunited with her older sister Sansa and took down Littlefinger in a plot so deceitful even viewers were worried the sisters had turned on each other. Arya also caught up with her brother Bran, but he’s become quite strange since he took over as the Three-Eyed Raven. The reunion with Jon has yet to happen on the show, but fans are hopeful that it’ll happen in the final season in 2019.

In the real world, Richard Madden, who played Robb, attended his on-screen sister’s play I And You in London at the Hampstead Theatre. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya, posted the picture of Williams and Madden hugging on her Instagram.

Madden shared it later and commented: “Last night watching @maisie_williams being brilliant in her new play @hampstead_theatre.”

It’s great that he’s still so supportive of his little sister. We’re sure that Robb’s ghost really appreciated Arya baking Walder Frey’s sons into a pie and then feeding it to him at the end of season six. We still have to wait until summer 2019 for the next season of Games of Thrones on HBO, but at least these moments tide us over.
