In the event that you’ve forgotten how incredible moms are, here’s your reminder. Cynthia Arnold, Montana runner and mom of three, recently crushed the Missoula Marathon in record time. That’s impressive enough all on its own, but Arnold also happened to complete the run while pushing all three of her children in a super-stroller. Casual.
Arnold completed the 26.2-mile race in just over three hours, her six, four, and one-year-olds adding an extra 185 pounds. The race crowned Arnold as a Guinness World Record Champion for being the fastest person to run a marathon while pushing a three-person stroller. The feat smashes her record from last year when she ran the 2018 Missoula Half Marathon. This time, though, she was determined to crush the full marathon.

🔥 Guinness World Record Alert 🔥 Cynthia Lauren Arnold smashed the record for pushing a triple pram stroller during the 2018 Missoula Half Marathon! Just confirms what we always say about the Missoula Marathon & Half Marathon Courses – FLAT & FAST! Arnold told Runner’s World that the began training for the marathon last winter, which included a series of 20-mile runs. She typically trained alone, but sometimes would bring the loaded-up stroller for 10-mile runs. The 35-year-old says she’ll go solo in her next race, but isn’t ready to totally ditch the stroller quite yet. “I tear up when I think any day could be the last day my oldest daughter goes for a run in the stroller,” she said. She can ride her bike while I run now.”
Arnold also gushed about the incredible crowd the day of the race. “The crowd was amazingly supportive,” she said. “I was moved by how many people were cheering for me and knew what my goal was on race day. One woman called out ‘I’ve been reading about you all year. Go mom!'”
Go mom, indeed.
