Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Celebrated Her Return to Tennis With Billboards

Reddit Co-Founder Alexis Ohanian Sr. went all out to show how proud he is of his wife returning to tennis.

On March 5, Serena Williams will compete in the BNP Paribas Open, her first U.S. tennis tournament since giving birth to her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., in September 2017. To celebrate her highly anticipated return, Serena’s husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, put up four billboards in Palm Springs, CA that declare her to be “The Greatest Momma of All Time.”

The four billboards, which feature pictures of Williams and her daughter, are currently up along a major road leading into Indian Wells, CA, which is where the tournament will be played. According to Ohanian, he designed the billboards himself (with a little help from Alexis Jr.) to let his wife know how proud of her he really is.

Ohanian and Williams first met in Rome in May 2015. Despite neither of them having any real knowledge of each other’s respective career success, the tennis star and internet mogul quickly hit it off and were engaged just a year and a half later. After Williams gave birth to their first child last year, the two officially tied the knot with a ceremony at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans in November.

Williams is already one of the most accomplished athletes in the history of sports, as the 36-year-old has won a record 23 Grand Slam titles while dominating women’s tennis for nearly two decades. In January, Williams played at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship in Abu Dhabi, which was her first tournament since winning the 2017 Australian Open, when she was already a few months pregnant.
