Ryan Reynolds Is As Sick of the ‘Paw Patrol’ Theme Song As Every Other Parent

No parent will ever truly be safe from the 'Paw Patrol' theme song.

Actor Ryan Reynolds is inarguably one of the funniest people in all of Hollywood. When he isn’t on screen cracking wise as Deadpool, the father of two can often be found on social media turning every other sentence into a joke. And, as is typically the sign of a truly hilarious individual, some of the laughs just seem to fall into his lap. This weekend, a funny Instagram caption about early voting quickly turned into an even more relatable joke about hating the Paw Patrol theme song.

On Tuesday Reynolds posted a picture to Instagram of himself and his wife, actress Blake Lively, holding up their early voting ballots. The caption hilariously read “What a birthday! I just smoked a huge bowl of early voting.” Not long after the official Paw Patrol Instagram commented on the photo and said that “Voting is PAWsome!” The actor quickly fired back with “Get outta my head Paw Patrol. And take your damn theme song with you.”

As any parent with children under five-years-old will tell you, Paw Patrol is perhaps the most bizarre children’s show of this decade. In short, it centers around a town full of imbecilic human beings who spend all day every day essentially waiting to be rescued by technologically advanced canines. Not to mention, as Reynolds pointed out, the show’s theme song is nauseating. Just short enough to memorize and bad enough that you genuinely don’t want to.

He’s Hardly the first celebrity, or parent, to come out against the show. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Tyler Perry and Jimmy Fallon went back and forth for almost five minutes about hating the show with a fiery passion.
