It has been almost two years since Rick, the genius misanthropic scientist, and Morty, his painfully anxious grandson, last let us tag along for one of their wacky adventures but fans can rejoice, as the wait is nearly over. Rick & Morty will officially be returning to Adult Swim later this year.
The show announced its return with a simple twitter video, where the titular duo simply announce that the fourth season will be on the air sometime in November 2019. What day exactly? The video doesn’t make it clear.
Since it debuted way back in 2013, Rick & Morty has remained one of the most beloved animated shows on TV, with its absurd, existential sense of humor earning the show a devoted, somewhat controversial fanbase. The show is known to put a comedic spin on sci-fi concepts, such as alternate realities, interdimensional travel, and a mysterious, seemingly all-powerful federation that may hold true power in the galaxy.

While fans have had to wait a long time for the show to come back, they fortunately don’t have to worry about not getting their fill of Rick & Morty, as Adult Swim has ordered 70 new episodes of the show. And one of the episodes may be created by Kanye West, as Rick & Morty co-creator Dan Harmon said he would let West, a vocal fan of the show, mastermind an episode.
“I’m giving him an episode,” Harmon said. “I’m making it official. We have 70, he can have one. Kanye, you can have one . . . It’s official. That would be fucking amazing.”
