Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Are Expecting Their First Child

The Kensington Palace announced this morning that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were expecting their first child, with Meghan scheduled to give birth sometime in the Spring of 2019.

Prince Harry and Meghan were married in May and their wedding was one of the biggest news stories of 2018. Just a few months later and they are ready to bring the newest Royal Baby into the world, much to the delight of fans everywhere.

“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019,” Kensington Palace announced. “Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

Harry and Meghan reportedly let the rest of the Royal Family know about Meghan’s pregnancy on Friday at the wedding of Harry’s cousin, Princess Eugenie, and Jack Brooksbank. The news seems to have gone over well, as Queen Elizabeth II offered her congratulations to the couple.

“The Queen, Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, Duchess of Cornwall and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted for the couple and were able to congratulate them on Friday at the wedding in person,” a Kensington Palace spokesperson said.

Once the child is born, they will be seventh in line for the throne, behind Prince Charles, Prince William, William’s three kids, and Harry himself.
