If you’re anything like, well, just about the rest of the known universe at this point, you’re likely stuck at home, unable to go to restaurants, working at your kitchen table, and slaving over dinner every night, just thinking of better times when you could pick up something on the way home from the office for the family. While we can’t help re-open the economy or find a cure for COVID-19, we did find an awesome resource to help make cooking fun again for the whole family.

Pixar, it turns out, has a YouTube channel series called “Cooking With Pixar” that features recipe videos and step-by-step instructions of how to make some of the most iconic foods in Pixar’s movies. It looks like they update the channel about once a month, so a new recipe might come soon. One video teaches you how to make dumplings like those featured in Bao, the smashing hit short film about parenting, love, and growth, with the title character himself.

Ian and Barley Lightfoot from Onward teach you how to make a birthday cake like the one featured in the movie, with beautiful pink and white icing and a blue candle.

Want pizza? Want pizza from pizza planet? Look no further! Chef Forky, because apparently Forky got a job, will teach you how to make the iconic cheesy, peppery, pepperoni-y ‘za that has enchanted the minds of youngsters for a generation.

But perhaps most exciting of all is a non-Pixar but Disney video of how to make Remy’s Ratatouille from, well, Ratatouille.

So have fun, and start cooking! The whole family can join in on these Pixar-inspired classics, hopefully driving new life into that same old meal you were about to cook for the nth time.
