It’s been a long year but 2017 is coming to a close and with a new year comes a whole new crop of baby names that are about to become extremely popular. And while it may seem impossible to know what baby boy and girl names will be trending before 2018 even begins, the experts at Babygaga have revealed their predictions for the most popular baby names of 2018. To make the lists (one for boys and one for girls), Babygaga searched through baby naming data from the last few years and tried to analyze which names will grow in popularity versus those whose moment has passed.
Olivia was the most popular girls’ name of 2017 but Babygaga predicts the name won’t even be in the top 20 for next year. Instead, Emma, the second most popular girls’ name this year, will be the top girls’ name of the year in 2018, followed by Charlotte, Sadie, Violet, and Kennedy.
Meanwhile, Babygaga believes Finn will be the most popular boys’ name, despite the fact that it was not even listed on BabyCenter’s top 40 most popular baby boys’ names in 2017. Overall, classic boys’ names seem to be making a comeback, with Jack, Oliver, Atticus, and Theodore rounding out the top five.
An Award-Winning Formula
Looking for a formula you can trust to support your baby? Enspire is Enfamil’s closest formula to breast milk ever. It has Lactoferrin and MFGM which have been associated with fewer digestive and respiratory issues.
Of course, these are just predictions and there is no real way to know which baby names will be popular until 2018 is actually happening. Still, if you are looking to avoid choosing the same “unique” name as everyone else, you may want to take a look at the lists below.
