‘Monsters Inc’ Is Getting a TV Show

This is scary good news.

There are plenty of reasons to be excited for Disney+, the streaming service that will launch later this year. The entire Disney vault will be available to stream. There are tons of new Star Wars and MCU series that sounds totally awesome. And Pixar fans can rejoice, as it was announced today that Disney+ will feature Monsters At Work, a TV show that will serve as a sequel series to the beloved Monsters Inc. franchise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Monsters At Work will take place six months after the end of the movie, with the Scare Floor officially being converted to the Laugh Floor after it is discovered that the power of laughter produces 10 times more energy than screaming. And yes, that does mean that James “Sully” Sullivan and Mike Wazowski will be a part of the show, with John Goodman and Mike Wazowski reportedly reprising their roles as the iconic duo.

While Goodman and Crystal are both set to return, the series will focus on Tylor Tuskmon (voiced by Superstore‘s Ben Feldman), a mechanic with ambitions of joining Mike and Sulley on the Laugh Floor. Tuskmon is far from the only new character in Monsters at Work, as we will also be introduced to Val Little (voiced by Last Jedi‘s Kelly Marie Tran), Tuskmon’s best friend, Fritz (voiced by Henry Winkler), Tuskmon’s boss, and several other lovable monsters voiced by Lucas Neff, Alanna Ubach, Stephen Stanton and Aisha Tyler.

Not much else is known about the show at this point but it is expected to debut on Disney+ sometime next year, which can’t come soon enough.
