Macaulay Culkin Trolled His Brother at the Golden Globes with Hilarious Tweets

These are too good.

GETTY

When Macaulay Culkin was live tweeting last night’s Golden Globes, he decided to play the embarrassing big brother and troll his younger sibling Kieran. In a series of tweets, Culkin pretended he had no idea that Kieran was even attending the event, let alone nominated for an award.

“Oh shit! My brother is at the Golden Globes?! That is so cool!” the Home Alone star posted, following it with a photo of 36-year-old Kieran on the red carpet with wife Jazz Charton. “My brother looks so handsome at the #GoldenGlobes,” he gushed.

Kieran, who is one of seven Culkin siblings, received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series for his role as Roman Roy in hit HBO drama Succession.

And in Culkin’s most popular tweet of the night (it has almost 15,000 likes so far), the 38-year-old acted like the nomination was a complete surprise to him.

“HOLY SHIT KIERAN IS NOMINATED??? WHAT IS SUCCESSION?!” he teased, adding, “Man, I should really answer his calls more often. Thanksgiving is going to be really awkward this year.”

Culkin got a few other jabs in throughout the night, too. Not only did he misspell Kieran’s name in one tweet (writing “Keiran”), he also posted a picture of 73-year-old Barry actor Henry Winkler saying, “Oh my god, there he is! Hi, bro!”

In a follow-up tweet, Culkin zooms in on the image further, showing a blurry Kieran in the background.

Another highlight was when Culkin, who recently changed his middle name to “Macaulay Culkin” following a fan vote, tweeted, “You know, if y’all voted for me to change my name to Kieran I’d be at the Golden Globes right now. Just saying. #thanks.”

Then, when his younger brother lost to Ben Whishaw of A Very English Scandal, Culkin joked, “This show is rigged!!! I was totally pulling for Winkler… (No one tell Keiran he didn’t win).”
