The Kardashians Reveal Their Unique Approach to Naming Their Kids

And why Kim's fourth child might be nameless at first.

The way that the Kardashian family chooses baby names is as unique as the names themselves. On Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kim shared their uncommon method when asked about her upcoming fourth child.

“Does everyone weigh in on the name of the baby or is that just between you and Kanye? Or does Kanye come up with that all on his own?” Kimmel questioned Kim, who was joined by sisters Khloe and Kourtney on the show in Las Vegas.

After noting that she definitely does survey her family first, Kim explained, “But it’s usually after the baby is born and we’re trying to figure out what the baby looks like. I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel that it really connects with me.”

Kourtney then chimed in, saying that she gave son Reign a different name every day the first week after he was born before settling on his final moniker. And while their approach is atypical, the Kardashians’ patience in picking names may pay off in light of a recent study that revealed that one in seven parents regret the name that they chose for their baby.

However, Kim did admit that she has one name in mind already. “I was truthfully thinking of just naming him Rob, after my brother,” the 38-year-old said. “But it doesn’t really go [with the other kids’ names].”

Kim and husband Kanye, who have North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, 14 months, are expecting their fourth child via surrogate sometime this spring.
