Talent shows are often dull affairs, as the only people who care about what’s happening on stage is usually the performer’s proud parents. This is especially true for talent shows featuring young kids, who tend to be very light on anything resembling actual talent.
But a recent talent show in Minneapolis proved to be wildly entertaining, thanks to one kid’s decision to go rogue and turn a class performance of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ into his own personal rendition of ‘The Imperial March’ from Star Wars.
As the rest of the kids are trying to sing along to the classic kid’s song, the young boy is fully dedicated to Darth Vader’s iconic entrance music. The two kids next to him, one of whom is his sister, look incredibly confused while you can hear adult members of the audience laughing along to his unique remix of ‘Twinkle Twinkle.’
The hilarious performance was uploaded onto Twitter by Erin Gibson, who said the boy singing was her cousin’s son with the caption: “Sometimes when I need to laugh, I think about the time my cousin’s son took over a group rendition of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to sing the Imperial March.”
Unsurprisingly, the video quickly began to go viral. In less than three days, the video has been viewed almost eight million times and has received 134,000 retweets and 600,000 likes.

He even got an endorsement from Luke Skywalker himself aka Mark Hamil, who retweeted the video with the caption “The Dark Side is strong in him!” We’re not casting directors but we feel like that should at least earn him a cameo in a future Star Wars movie.
