A lot of people will tell you that they didn’t even know how available weird and exotic ice cream flavors were before they visited a creamery in New York City. In a world overwhelmed by vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and that one with all three flavors that no one ever buys, it’s easy to forget that ice cream gets way weirder and better than that—more alcoholic too. Angry Orchard and Davey’s Ice Cream, a New York City-based creamery, have just linked up for the thirsty parent’s ultimate summer treat: a limited run of rosé flavored ice cream.
The custom ice cream will come in two different flavors, Rosé CreamCider and a Pine-Apple Hibiscus Rosé Sorbet. The unique concoctions will be available starting Friday, July 13th in honor of National Ice Cream Day. Unfortunately, for those who don’t live in New York City, the icy treat will remain just out of reach. The two flavors can only be acquired at three specific Davey’s Ice Cream locations.
If you are in the city though, which location you should go to depends on what you’re looking for. The Davey’s location in the East Village of Manhattan will be selling Rosé CreamCider by the scoop and pints of both flavors. Davey’s in Williamsburg, Brooklyn will sell both favors, but only by the scoop. Finally, the Davey’s in Greenpoint, Brooklyn will sell both flavors by the pint. There are very limited quantities of each flavor, so make your move quickly. Something with both rosé and ice cream in the title will isn’t bound to be on the shelves for very long.
