Watch: Tennessee Third Grader Whose House Burned Down Gets All-New Toys from Generous Classmates

Well this is just delightful.

After Daniel Hunt’s house burned down last month, his class came together to lift his spirits.

Hunt in a third-grader at Philadelphia Elementary School in eastern Tennessee. When his classmates found out that his family lost everything, they decided to put on a secret toy drive for him. One of his teachers shot a video of the reveal, and it’s going viral for the best reason.

“His 3rd grade teachers and classmates started a secret toy drive for him to replace the toys he lost. He received the toys today and he was so surprised and thankful!” the post read in part.

Daniel was definitely shocked—he didn’t seem to even realize the toys were for him at first—but when he figured it out he was quickly overwhelmed.

Once he got his bearings and it dawned on him what was happening, Daniel opened his arms wide for a group hug which his classmates happily participated in.

Among the new toys he received were plenty of board games like Battleship and Candyland, a plush Pikachu, Star Wars Mr. Potato Head and a brand-new football. He even got some handmade cards to boot.

There’s nothing cynical or snarky to say about this story. It’s just nice!
