It’s been a whirlwind for the Royal Family as their treading through new territory with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle leaving their post as Senior Members of the Royal Family. They were able to settle the details on when they’re resigning, how they will be included moving forward, and now it’s time for them to move all their stuff out of Buckingham Palace.
Reports indicate that Harry and Meghan are now closing out their office at Buckingham Palace and have let to of 15 staff members. The Palace has said that they’re not going to make any statements on those lost staffing jobs, but the Daily Mail reports things are still being discussed in that regard.
Given their decision to step back, an office at Buckingham Palace is no longer needed,” a source revealed. “While the details are still being finalized and efforts are being made to redeploy people within the royal household, unfortunately, there will be some redundancies.” But also, this means that the couple have to start the whole process of packing.
The couple are moving forward with their plans to leave their official Royal duties and closing their office seems the first big step. It sucks moving out of your parent’s place and adding a cross-continent move on top of that; the logistics must be a nightmare. Anyone who has done a move with a young child in tow knows that packing up your home (and in this case, their office, too) is anything but easy. It’s stress-filled and it just plain sucks.
Harry and Meghan haven’t officially said where they’re going to live, but Meghan and Archie have been staying in Canada since the news of their departure from their Royal duties broke. Moving from Buckingham Palace in the UK to Vancouver, Canada is no easy task, but they seem solid in their decision to leave their family home for greener and more private pastures.
