Considering how many companies have Star Wars licensing deals these days, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Gap just unveiled a new line of Star Wars-inspired clothing. But it does. Seriously, the Gap is now selling Star Wars clothing ⏤ and not just for adults. No, for toddlers and kids too. To be honest, though, the retro-styled collection is pretty damn fantastic.
And half of what makes the new styles so awesome is the way that the images work perfectly with the shape and design of the clothes. For example, this bucket hat is made to look like R2-D2. It doesn’t spin around or beep wildly but man does it look cool.
This Hawaiian shirt features an iconic photo of Han, Leia, Luke, and Chewbacca lined up like they’re posing for a postcard photograph from Oahu. The grainy blue image adds to the vintage aesthetic of the shirt so it almost feels like something you’d find for a dollar at the local thrift store.
There’s also this sweet denim vest for those who want to look like they run a biker gang out of the Mos Eisley Cantina. It depicts the Millennium Falcon over a hazy sunset and definitely has a vintage motorcycle club vibe.
