Here’s When ‘Frozen 2’ Will Finally Be Released

Here's what parents need to know.

Disney

Good news Frozen fans: The long-awaited return of Queen Elsa and Princess Anna is coming sooner than you expected. Disney’s Frozen 2 is set to be released on November 22, 2019, a full week earlier than originally planned–and a recent cast member reunion has everyone excited.

“Soon enough…” Josh Gad (Olaf) captioned his Wednesday post. The photo shows Kristen Bell (Anna), Idina Menzel (Elsa), Jonathan Groff (Kristoff), and Gad kissing a stuffed Sven.

According to Variety, the sequel to the 2013’s Frozen not only features the main cast we all fell in love with, but also four new songs, one of which co-director Jennifer Lee told the magazine “is an evolution.” Lee also added that she believes Frozen 2 is “bigger, more epic” than the first.

And while we already knew that Sterling K. Brown and Evan Rachel Wood will be joining the cast as voice-over actors, the adorable Instagram picture hints that there may be another new name in the credits: The Rock.

In Gad’s post, the plush reindeer is tagged with The Rock’s Instagram handle. However, some suspect it’s simply a play on the fact that in the movie Moana, Maui briefly turned into Sven. Stay tuned…
