When most families get together, they will watch a movie or maybe play a card game, but the LeBaron family has their own unique tradition. When they gather together, instead of playing Uno, the family casually delivers Broadway-level performances of hit musical songs. So when the Utah-based family got together on Easter, it was all but assured that they would be bringing down the house. And with an absolutely stunning rendition of “One Day More” from the beloved musical Les Miserables, they did not disappoint.
Fortunately for all of us, the family’s Broadway-worthy performance was captured on video and posted on Facebook by Jordan LeBaron with the caption: “Anyone looking to do Les Miserables for their next show? Better yet…anyone looking for an entire cast?”
The video starts simple enough, with the family standing around the couch and staring at a TV offscreen while the opening notes play. But the minute they begin to sing, everything changes, as each new family member sings and reveals their equally amazing voice.
Anyone looking to do Les Miserables for their next show? Better yet…anyone looking for an entire cast? This is "One Day More." According to Jayson, a member of the family, each of the siblings in the grew up performing musical theater. As they got older and married, they’ve been lucky enough to find partners who add even more talent to the family.
“We’ve all grown up singing together and we all married musically talented people,” Jayson explained.
The video quickly and unsurprisingly went viral. In just over a week, the video has been viewed more than eight million times and has been shared by more than 73,000 users. Hopefully, the next time we hear from the LeBaron family they’ll have left their living room behind to belt out show tunes on a real stage, babies and all.
