Dwayne Johnson may be the biggest star in the world but he is no stranger to the less-glamorous side of parenting, like sleepless nights and the terrible twos. But the dad of three also knows that his little ones won’t always be so little—which is why, as he shared in his latest Instagram post, he always makes time for his daughters, no matter how tired he is.
On Saturday morning, “The Rock” posted a photo snuggling with his 2-year-old daughter, Jasmine. And as if the picture itself wasn’t sweet enough, it was the caption that reminded us why Johnson is a true family man.
The 46-year-old actor explained that after sleeping only 3 hours and being “tired as all hell,” he was woken up by Jasmine (who he affectionately calls “this tornado”), begging him to play with her. What happened next proves Johnson has the patience of a saint. Because when, “surprise – she refuses to play and just wants me to hold her while she makes fart noises,” that’s exactly what Johnson did.

Working late and had only 3hrs sleep when this tornado ???? busts in our bedroom, jumps on me and pleads with me to get up and take her to my closet (she keeps toys in my closet) to play. We get there and then – surprise – she refuses to play and just wants me to hold her while she makes fart noises ????????????♂️ Tired as all hell, but thought ehh there’s gonna come a time, years from now when jumping in my arms is the last thing she wants to do and ain’t gonna be cool anymore — so I’ll always take these moments while I can. Somewhere @kevinhart4real is crying and wishes he was her.
“[I] thought ehh there’s gonna come a time, years from now when jumping in my arms is the last thing she wants to do and ain’t gonna be cool anymore,” wrote Johnson. “So I’ll always take these moments while I can.”
It isn’t the first time that the former wrestler has shown his softer side, either, especially when it comes to Jasmine. After all, we can’t forget one of our favorite daddy-daughter memories of the duo: when he let her paint his nails before he left for work one morning.
