Disney Is Celebrating Halloween with Epic ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’-Themed Party

No, seriously!

Walt Disney Pictures

Yes, it’s barely August, but the world is ready to begin discussing Halloween. Get on board or get out!! Just kidding. But hopefully you’re on board for what Disney‘s California Adventure has in store this year: a brand new Nightmare Before Christmas-themed “Oogie Boogie Bash”. As per usual, the festivities will family friendly, but parents and teens will have just as much fun as the little ones thanks to some exciting new features.

The Bash will include Mickey’s Trick and Treat, an all-new show with dancing, free treats, characters dressed in spooky costumes, and even Descendants-themed dance party. All 20 nights of Oogie Boogie Bash will also feature “treat trails”, in which guests collect goodies while Disney villains like Dr. Facilier and the Mad Hatter entertaining them along the way. In other words, be prepared for sugar-overloaded children.

The park will also go all out with Halloween decor. Carthay Circle restaurant will be covered in Maleficent’s vines, and Villains Grove within the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will be transformed into an immersive experience featuring characters like Claude Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The Frightfully Fun Parade is back with the addition of Cheshire Cat, the World of Color will see a new, fire-filled nighttime performance.

Oogie Boogie Bash — A Disney Halloween Party will go down on select nights between Sept. 17 and Oct. 31 and requires separate park admission. Tickets range from $110-$145 per person, which might seem steep, but the event allows guests five whole hours of fun. You can find more info on the spooky event here.
