This Dad Is Wanted By Police For Forcing His Toddler to Climb Inside a Prize Machine and Steal Nintendo Consoles

This could have ended in much worse way.

Salem NH Police Department Facebook

Police are currently looking for a man who was filmed putting his toddler into a BarBer Cut Lite cabinet to retrieve the prizes inside. Not only was the man caught on video stealing, but he was caught putting his daughter ’s life in serious danger. The entryway into the prize machine is really small, and even if she could get herself in, there was no guarantee that coming out would be as easy.

BarBer Cut Lite machines are a bit more precarious than your run of the mill claw machine. Instead of having a dull claw that you can control to pick up prizes, The BarBer Cut machine has two red buttons that players use to manipulate two sets of scissors that cut down more expensive prizes than you’d ever find in a claw machine.

Per a report by the Union Reader, the man put his daughter into the machine around 6 PM while they were at a mall in Salem, New Hampshire. As if to make the whole ordeal worse, the man had another child with him to witness the whole thing. He had his daughter climb into the machine, unbox the items and feed them to him through the hole she used to enter. Mall security got wind of the scheme when someone walked into a restaurant across from the machine and mentioned what was happening.

Theft from Mall at Rockingham Park

“Two people came in and I heard them say, ‘That’s so unsafe.’ So I went outside and all I saw was the toddler’s head peeping out of the front of the machine,” Hannah Forsee, a hostess at the restaurant told the Union Reader.

According to Forsee, the man was able to take a few Nintendo gaming systems before retrieving his child from the machine and walking away. Unbeknownst to him, two teenage boys had been quietly recording the whole incident.
