A Couple Claims They Saw a Ghost Scratch Their Daughter on the Nanny Cam

What nightmares are made of.

WXYZ

Somebody call up the Ghostbusters because a couple in Detroit is living a real-life horror movie after they saw what they believe to be a ghost one night on the nanny cam in their daughter’s room.

“I freaked out,” mom Heather Brough told News 5 Cleveland of the evening when she saw something that looked like a male figure moving in front of her baby’s crib. “I stopped what I was doing and I ran upstairs and grabbed my daughter.” There, she found three purple scratches along her child’s cheek.

Dad Joshua Higgins was equally disturbed, saying, “It was chilling. It was literally a chill down your spine, like that ‘what if’ factor — is this what I just saw?”

And their paranormal experiences didn’t stop there. According to Brough, the “ghost” not only attacked her daughter but also her. Explaining that she’s heard screaming and laughing numerous times, the mom told The Sun, “If I’m in the shower I hear someone running up and down the steps” adding that “I woke up to get ready for work one morning and it felt like someone was choking me.”

Higgins’ dad Jim believes it could be a past resident haunting the house. “The gentleman that lived here originally committed suicide apparently by jumping out this window, which is one story down,” he told the news station.

The couple even hired paranormal investigators to figure out what was going on but they haven’t gotten any clear answers. For now, they’re all staying in one room together until they can afford to move. “I don’t know what [the spirit’s] intentions are but at this point, it’s becoming physically harmful,” Brough said to The Sun. “As soon as possible, we’re out of here.”
