Chrissy Teigen Got Parent-Shamed For Not Breastfeeding and Her Response Is Priceless

Haters gonna hate.

Chrissy Teigen is used to getting shamed on social media for ridiculous reasons, like for cooking with wine or for going down a slide on the playground. But the 32-year-old mom of two is also known for standing up for herself—and that’s exactly what she did yesterday when one Instagram user tried to blast her for not breastfeeding 4-month-old son Miles.

“You no longer breastfeed?” user @iamcristinasiscanu commented on a picture that Teigen’s husband John Legend posted Tuesday night, featuring Teigen, along with Luna, 2, and Miles, backstage at The Voice (Legend is a judge this season). In the photo, Teigen is feeding Miles with a bottle, which sparked the unwelcome comment. Of course, Teigen wasn’t about to be shamed for her parenting decisions—after all, it’s not the first time she’s had to shut down rude comments about breastfeeding and the way she chooses to raise her kids.

The model and actress chose to respond with one of her notoriously sassy comebacks: “John never breastfed Miles,” she wrote, referring to the fact that the photo was posted on Legend’s Instagram (not her own), while also making a point that mom shaming is not okay.

Other users were quick to support Teigen’s comment, arguing that whether or not she chooses to breastfeed is no one’s business but her own. One wrote to the original poster, “#rude Mind your business. Not your kid, not your body, not your life. She’s feeding her baby and it’s not your business what’s in the bottle or how he’s being fed.”
