Chrissy Teigen Burns Parent-Shamers After Painting Daughter’s Toenails

She remains the undisputed queen of shutting down trolls.

When it comes to shutting down parent-shamers, nobody can hold a candle to Chrissy Teigen. The mother of two and wife to John Legend has become a bit of a legend for her ability to take on trolls with her trademark wit and nonchalant sarcasm. Over the weekend, she once again took on an ignorant critic after posting a video on Twitter of her watching Sesame Street with her three-year-old daughter Luna after painting her toenails.

“Doing her nails is my knitting. Kid toes kill me!,” Teigen wrote.

It’s a sweet parenting moment that received more than 20,000 likes from her fans. However, at least one troll decided to criticize Teigen’s parenting skills, writing that Luna was too young to have her toenails painted. It’s a complaint that doesn’t make any sense but rather than ignore the tweet, Teigen decided to have some fun with the parent-shamer by retweeting the criticism (which has been deleted) with the caption: “well I actually had her drink it so joke’s on you.”

Teigen’s sarcastic response ended up even more popular than the original post, as it has received over 293,000 likes and 23,000 retweets in less than two days. Several fans voiced their support for Teigen.

“This is why you’re my favorite,” one user wrote.

A few followers even decided to get in on the joke, with one suggesting a way to make sure drinking nail polish doesn’t lead to any problems.

“Now you have to make her drink fingernail polish remover to make it even,” the user joked.

While trolls remain one of the most unfortunate parts of the online experience, at least we can all enjoy hilarious people like Teigen putting these parent-shamers in their place.
