Chris Pratt might be all laughs on screen but when it comes to raising his kid, the Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom star admits that he can actually be pretty strict. During an interview on Live With Kelly and Ryan, Pratt spoke about his relationship with his 5-year-old son Jack and noted that he can be tough when it comes to laying down the law. But he also made sure to emphasize that being a loving and caring father is the ultimate foundation of his parenting philosophy.

“I’m probably the strict parent, but also pretty loving and affectionate as well,” Pratt told Kelly and Ryan. “I think you’ve got to get respect, do what you say you’re going to do, and make your kids toe the line and all that stuff. But at the same time, you give them lots of hugs and kisses.”

Along with sharing his parenting philosophy, Pratt told Kelly and Ryan about his Father’s Day plans ⏤ he plans to keep it as “low key” as possible. “Church service because it’s on Sunday and pool time,” Pratt said. “That’s the plan.” Pratt then showed a video of his son playing with his pet bearded dragon, Leo, by the pool and offering viewers a preview of what Father’s Day might look like at the Pratt house.
