Care Bear fans rejoice! The childhood classic from the ’80s is about to get a reboot in a new animated television series. On Tuesday, Boomerang released the first trailer for Care Bears: Unlock the Magic, which will premiere February 1 on the streaming service.

Narrated by Bedtime Bear, the video begins by introducing the returning cast of cuddly and colorful characters, including Cheer Bear, Share Bear, Funshine Bear, Tenderheart Bear, Good Luck Bear, Grumpy Bear, and Wish Bear.

Bad guy Bluster is back, too, as he tries to take over Care-A-Lot (the happy place where the Care Bears live) and turn it into Blusterland. In many ways, it’s the Care Bears we all know and love but this rebooted show will be a little bit different than its predecessors.

“We have a new mission,” Tenderheart Bear says. “Protect the Whiffles so they can do their job of growing Care-A-Lot.” Bedtime Bear then explains that Whiffles are tiny creatures that plant seeds to help spread sharing and caring.

One of the Whiffles, named Dibble, was previously introduced as a new character on the show and will be joining the Care Bears as a friend and traveling companion as they navigate the mysterious Silver Lining universe and work together to keep Care-A-Lot safe from Bluster.

Starting February 1, the series, which will feature 48 11-minute episodes and two 22-minute specials, will be available for streaming on Boomerang’s subscription service. There is also a full-length Care Bear film in the works, although details and a release date have yet to be revealed.
