Disney movies are known for being family-friendly. The bad guy gets defeated, good prevails, and the happy couple live happily ever after. But one artist decided to give some classic Disney scenes a gritty makeover, adding some drugs, sex, and violence to the typically wholesome worlds. And while the results certainly aren’t for your kids, you’re going to want to see these hilariously R-Rated interpretations of some of the most beloved characters in the Disney universe.
These dark illustrations were created by Shusaku Takaoka, a graphic designer based in Japan who posts their unique works of art on Instagram. The Disney renderings are among the most popular, as it’s undeniably entertaining to get to see Cinderella as a secret drug addict or Snow White as a secret killer with an insatiable bloodlust. Here are a few of our favorites.
Warning: While they are animated, these illustrations can get pretty graphic so if you don’t want to see anything too grim, you may not want to keep scrolling.
Cinderella is typically viewed as one of the most pure-hearted princesses but Takaoka gives her a coke habit that she just can’t seem to quit.
She also ends up having to cut off her foot thanks to Jigsaw putting her through some moralistic exercise. Luckily, she doesn’t seem to mind.
Meanwhile, Pocahontas can’t help showing off some of her artistic talents on John Smith in the form of drawing a dick on his face.
And while Jasmine and Aladdin have a playfully antagonistic dynamic in the movie, it is taken one step further when Jasmine drops a loogie right on Aladdin’s face.
Winnie the Pooh and Piglet are adorable best friends but here they seem to be playing a game of hangman that won’t end well.
And finally, we have Snow White. Shusaku seems to have a special ability to bring out Snow White’s dark side, starting with her and her beloved prince both secretly swiping as they’re pretending to fall in love.
But that’s just the beginning, as she then beheads her beloved Prince while keeping her trademark smile.
And then goes after the Seven Dwarves because nobody is safe when they cross paths with this stone-cold killer.
