Anna Faris Offered to Play a Huge Role in Chris Pratt’s Upcoming Wedding

If only all exes were this cool.

GETTY

On Monday, Avengers: Infinity War actor Chris Pratt announced his engagement to Katherine Schwarzenegger, and it seems everyone is excited for the pair—even ex-wife, Anna Faris. The Overboard star was so happy, in fact, that she offered to officiate the ceremony.

“Chris texted me this morning and he was like, ‘I proposed to Katherine last night.’ And I was like, ‘Ahh, that’s amazing,'” she said in the latest episode of her podcast, Anna Faris is Unqualified. “And I texted him back like, ‘I just wanted to remind you I’m an ordained minister.’ I’m not very good at it.”

She went on to explain that the proposal didn’t come as a shock to her. “I knew that it was gonna happen and I love her and I love him and I’m just so happy that they found each other.”

In addition to the podcast mention, Faris also gave warm wishes to the recently engaged couple on Pratt’s Instagram post announcing the news. “I’m so happy for you both! Congratulations!” she commented.

While the 42-year-old Mom actress is likely joking about actually officiating the upcoming nuptials, the pair’s latest exchange is proof of their amicable post-divorce relationship, which they’ve worked hard to maintain for their six-year-old son, Jack.

Pratt and Faris, who split in August 2017 after being married for eight years, have famously killed it at co-parenting, even including a clause in their divorce documents which requires them to live within five miles of each other until Jack finishes sixth grade.
