Last night, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine went on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and talked about how he is preparing for the arrival of his second child. His wife, Namibian model Behati Prinsloo, is currently pregnant. Turns out, the biggest thing he’s hoping to avoid this go-around is not soiling himself in the delivery room ⏤ or, at least, coming close to doing so. As he told Kimmel, that’s exactly what almost happened during his wife’s first labor thanks to some advice he took from Carson Daly.
According to Daly, a lot of new dads faint when their wives are giving birth because they’re so stressed out that they forget to eat. So the host of The Voice warned Levine: “Remember to eat.” Unfortunately, Levine may have taken his co-star’s words of wisdom a little too much to heart and ordered a ton of food before his wife went into labor. Nervous eater that he is, he then proceeded to spend hours scarfing down burgers and fries to help deal with the stress.
As you can imagine, when the time finally came for his wife to make the final push, Levine admitted that he was ready to do so as well. “Bursting at the seams,” he had overstuffed himself to the point that he was legitimately worried about shitting his pants right there in the delivery room. Thankfully, Levine managed to hold off pooping just long enough to both see his new child born and get to the bathroom. This time around, though, we have a feeling Levine will opt for a light salad as his delivery room meal.
