My name is Michiel Huisman, and I’m in Uganda right now. I wanted to answer a question that Global Moms Relay has asked me, which is, “What do you wish were true for every family, everywhere?”
I just visited the world’s largest refugee camp, Bidi Bidi. I discovered that, of course, we all want the same thing for our families. We want our kids to be safe, we want them to be healthy, and we want to see them thrive. We want them to have access to good education.
So here’s my answer: That’s what I want for my kid, that’s what I want for all the families that I met here in Bidi Bidi, that’s what I want for every family everywhere.
