This initiative is brought to you by Fatherly and the United Nations Foundation.
Assuming you didn’t win the Powerball, there’s a better, more attainable way of getting the resources to fulfill a dream. The January Fatherly Fund provides a $1,000 grant to help some deserving parents bring a meaningful project to life — one that involves your children, not your buddies who launched a Kickstarter to build the world’s smartest kegerator.
A quick example is Ryan Nelson, a previous winner, who built a wheelchair accessible swing set for his daughter with Spinal Muscular Atrophy:
The winning entry should have a pre-planned project in mind with a clear, impactful goal. Whether it’s building a skate ramp playhouse or taking the whole family on a much-needed vacation, Fatherly and the United Nations Foundation want to give you a hand, and a hand up.
The initial submission period ends at 12:00 PM EST on January 28th and then finalists will be chosen by the Fatherly editorial staff for a crowdsourced vote to select the winning project.
To enter, please send the following to [email protected]:

Best of luck to all parents, everywhere!
